Tea Room
About this project
Schokolato offers TEA varieties which have been produced by a Florentine Company looking at tradition and innovation: “La Via del Tè, Firenze 1961“.
Since 1961, in Florence, La Via del Tè is recognized a leading institution for tea connoisseurs.
Within the over 250 references in the catalogues, Schokolato has picked some of the best whole-leaf tea, blends, fruit and herbal teas.
Examples?
- Special Gunpowder (green) Tea. The most widely-drunk green tea in the world, combining a fresh, light flavour with health-giving properties.
- Jasmine (green) Tea. Leaf tea – hygroscopic – naturally absorbs the scent of the flowers and yelds an infusion fresh and brisk, with a long lasting floral aftertaste.
- Marrakech Mint (green) Tea. Traditional blend of Chinese green tea and mint leaves, with the sweet and unmistakeable fragrance of Moroccan mint. A tea for travellers.
- Earl Grey Imperial (black) Tea. Whole-leaf Indian black tea perfumed with bergamot.
- Darjeeling TGFOP (black) Tea. Indian black tea known as the “champagne” of teas. It grows at high altitudes in the region of the same name at the foot of the slopes of the Himalayas. Fine plucking: 1 bud and two leaves.
- English Breakfast (black) Tea. Whole-leaf tea pouches. Traditional blend of strong black teas of good body. Ideal for breakfast, whether sweet or savoury.
- Herb Tea Fennel-Licorice. Herb infusion of two sweet and fragrant herbs: fennel (Foeniculum sativum) and licorice root (Glycyrhiza Glabra).
- Camomilla. Herb infusion soft blend of whole heads of Matricaria Chamomile.
- Cape Town Rooibos. A blend of Rooibos and rose petals, mallow and sunflower, with a sweet and intense aroma of crème caramel.
The single-dose filters are in cotton muslin, and are perfect both for personal tasting (with an hourglass to verify the desired intensity of the drink), and for a tête-à-tête with a larger teapot, which accompanies your friendly meeting warmly and discreetly. Why not having them along with a French vanilla Éclair?!
